Are you up to speed with the Insurance Act? - Searchlight Insurance Training

The Insurance Act came into effect on 12 August 2016, replacing law that has been in place since 1906. It overhauled the existing law, and aims to rebalance the position between the buyers of insurance and Insurers. Whilst it puts an Insured in a better position than previously, it does impose a new duty on them, the ‘duty of fair presentation’. This new duty will change how information is provided to Insurers, and is explicit regarding who needs to be consulted when gathering such information.

Our research indicates that

there are still a number of insurance staff

who are not up to speed with its implications

To help you, Searchlight has commissioned a new SCORM-compliant 60-minute e-learning module which covers the Act and the late payment of insurance claims provisions enacted as part of the Enterprise Act 2016. With Learning objectives and an end of course assessment this will qualify for CPD to help ensure there is no excuse for staff not knowing what is expected of them.

to see how you can ensure your staff become and remain competent

with the implications of the Act?
