This workshop reviews statutory inspections and discusses the alternative inspection philosophy available under the Pressure Safety Systems and the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations.

It is suitable for those with a sound knowledge of the subject, but wishing to provide greater guidance to their clients.

Dovetailing covers with the property programme and understanding the exclusions is reinforced and a range of contingency policies are explained/evaluated.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

Show confidence when discussing engineering insurance risks with customers

Review the principles associated with statutory inspection

Assess the procedures for extending the inspection frequencies as allowed for under the pressure plant and lifting machinery legislation

Explain the need to dovetail property and engineering insurance policies

Outline the business interruption insurance exposures relating to the peril of explosion

Analyse the protection and exclusions applicable to the main contingency covers of Erection All Risks, computers, hired in plant and deterioration of stock
