We offer Tick users the ability to study online for insurance qualifications. The first example of this is the Certificate of Regulated General Insurance (CeRGI®) - a professional qualification offered by the Institute of Financial Services (ifs).

The CeRGI ® qualification provides evidence that holders have an understanding of the nature of risk and its application, the general purpose, role and benefits of insurance, and how the insurance market works. The full learning resources of the CeRGI ® programme have been incorporated into Searchlight's Tick e-learning system and are available to all users in return for a small additional payment for each student enrolled.

The study material takes the form of a nine module online programme with multiple choice testing and a final timed mock examination which students can take as many times as they like to prepare them thoroughly for the actual examination.

The nine modules are:

4. Legal Principles
   
5. Insurance Practice - Underwriting
   
6. Insurance Practice - Claims
   
7. Commercial Insurances - Liability and Pecuniary Insurance

9. Personal Insurances

Once users have completed the study course there is a single examination module consisting of a two-hour multiple-choice paper taken online at one of 150 centres across the UK . Having passed the exam students receive a certificate and are entitled to use the letters CeRGI® after their name.
