Essentials of Management
A complete programme for new managers in insurance

Essentials of Management is a unique training resource developed by Searchlight in partnership with BIBA that provides a complete tutorial in essential management skills for new managers and those about to take on management responsibilities.

The programme provides users with a broad understanding of how to manage effectively, how to get the best from other people, and how to make the best use of their own time.

Essentials of Management comprises nine modules plus an end of course test:

  5. Managing Conflict
  6. Negotiation
  7. Team Working
  8. Leadership v. Management
  9. Coaching
  10. End of Course Test

Each of the nine modules contains 12 units of learning, each of which includes two model answer questions. There are also 10 multiple choice questions at the end of each module. Finally there is the 100-question end of course test. This is effectively the mock examination for a formal examination which users can take at their own place of work to qualify for a BIBA endorsed certificate in management skills.
