Introduction

This is a one day participative workshop for those becoming involved in claims handling for the first time or who have claims handling skills in other products, such as Motor Insurance. The workshop will equip delegates to quickly make a difference to a household claims team.

Workshop Objectives

Delegates who successfully complete this workshop will be able to:

• outline the usual processes involved with investigation and settlement of Household Insurance claims

• undertake the appointment of or liaise with loss adjusters and suppliers where the circumstances of a claim warrant this course of action and understand their roles

• settle common Household Insurance claims by the most suitable and economic means available
